What are your favorite places?
I hadn’t spent much time thinking about mine until I was introduced to one, last summer.
My son and I returned to spend a night there this past week and that inspired me to “refresh” this post.
DJ’s “Sky Tent” is one of my favorite places in the world!
I was introduced to the sky tent when I booked it to celebrate my 18th wedding anniversary a year and a half ago. While there, my husband and I drank sunset, and Sangre del Toro, we meditated on the fire and swam in the milky way.
I KNEW this place had made its way into my heart when I woke up just after sun rise to find my husband drinking coffee and grilling salmon while the horses we’d met in the barn the night before frolicked (literally!) nearby❤️
As we drove towards home, I wondered what other places I would add to this distinctive list.
Here’s what I’ve got:
My mother-in-law’s recliner in the home much of my chosen family was raised in.
The roof of Cony & Ronnie’s home in Xela 
Northern mountains of El Salvador 
My bed 
My yard 
A rooftop restaraunt near Lake Atitlan 
ON a chicken bus, assuming there are no lude photos of women. . . Cuz, surprise, surprise, misogyny has no border

One of the coolest things I’ve seen: chicken bus ferried by un lancha across a tributary near a seaside village in Guatemala

So that’s 17 that I can think of off the top of my head. While looking for photos, I remembered a few more!
