What are synonyms for digestion… processing?!?

I keep thinking of my sister-in-law, Becky. Spanish is her first language. Naturally, her TomTom/Garmin (this was before Google was ubiquitous) spoke to her in Spanish.

We had a couple great conversations about the phrase “recalculando” (recalculating). Whenever she strayed from her designated route while driving in Los Angeles, where she and my brother used lived and worked at the time, she’d hear (and me too as, often our chats would occur while driving, using her phones hands-free setting, of course) the GPS assistant’s “Latin Lover” voice (I think of the narrator for Jane in the series Jane the Virgin😜) would say rrrrree-cal-que-laaaando. It’s a really fun word, all Spanish words beginning with the letter “r” are fun to say because you can roll them for as long as you like/are able. Becky and I used to joke about how, often, in LIFE, you must RECALCULANDO.

It’s not exactly, the same meaning/usage that I am thinking of in THIS case but it’s as close as I’ve come without reliable use of my web-based thesaurus😜.

I am thankful that the signal is spotty. As much as I am ITCHING to write and I deeply want to share the photos I’ve collected over a VERY exciting few days, I am grateful for the time to rest, relax and process what I’ve experienced.

Incidentally, I have noticed, since I began writing regularly, that it can be difficult for me to write, coherently at least, ABOUT a moment or to DESCRIBE a state of mind, an experience, while still IN that state of mind and/or in/having said experience.

Entonces, ahorita, estoy rrrrrrrrrrrrree-CAL-cu-landó….
