Friends

I am so grateful for my friends. I am fortunate to know and love so many intelligent, caring, curious people. I’ve just returned home from a book discussion (Firekeeper’s Daughter – it’s incredible!! Highly recommend). The discussion was lovely. One woman brought Boba tea and made individual cups for each of us. A long time friend, brought delicious gluten-free scones. One of my regular walking buddies encouraged me to try one of her watermelon waters. My old running buddy (I don’t really run much any more, it’s not that she’s old, she’s quite fit. Back when I used to run, she and would run a couple times a week) hosted on her beautiful patio. The breeze was perfect, the wind chimes sung as I swayed on the porch swing. As we talked with one another, sharing our stories and commenting on Daunis’ story, the main character, I felt so peaceful, so loved. All all at once, I was seen, appreciated and stimulated (emotionally and intellectually). I am so grateful for these woman and for all of my amazing, incredible friends.

This evening, I hung my “wayfair shelf”, a second attempt. There were bumps, for sure, but it looks great and – it appears – it will, more than, handle the weight of my life. Here’s hoping!
