Show and Tell

I am so excited! I figured out how to add photos 🙂

Which is important because I want to show the shelves that I installed yesterday. One is a success. The other? Let’s consider it a good start, shall we!?

I am creative, I am not, what you might call, “handy”. My husband, God bless him, has walked through the process of hanging things on walls more times than I care to recount. With some coaching, I hung these shelves yesterday.

These are my journals and photo albums. On the far left is my baby book, thanks Mom!:-) Far right is the memoir that my beloved grandfather, Harold Vernon Miller, wrote for me, his other five grandchildren, and his great grandchildren. There are several more journals and albums that are important to me but not pictured here. Why? Welp, because when I walked into my office this morning – after a night of WILD lucid dreams, but that’s for another post – I discovered that the shelf that I spent over an hour hanging, using 8 – count them, 8! HEFTY screws – cannot, WILL NOT, hold the weight of my life.

So to Wayfair I went! I am NOW looking forward to hanging a shelf that purports to hold 200lbs as soon as it arrives. That oughta do it:-)

All is not lost! I’m quite happy with the other shelf that I hung:

Isn’t it cute?! I have wanted a shelf to hold my records since my husband bought me this adorable lil Victrola back in December of 2019. Having my records handy makes me so very happy:-)
